Dubstep and bass pioneer Flux Pavilion played The Torch on Saturday, March 8, to a packed crowd at the foot of the LA Coliseum.
“It’s always magical playing in Los Angeles. It’s such a diverse crowd and I feel that makes it unique every time, I never know what response I’m going to get to certain styles so that keeps me engaged and plugged in to music,” Flux Pavilion told LA Weekly. “When LA is turned on there is nothing quite like it.”
The English producer, instrumentalist, singer-songwriter and co-founder of Circus Records has been in the game since 2008, and has a studio album with Circus co-founder Doctor P dropping March 30, which includes the first single “WDGAF.”
When asked what can we expect from the forthcoming album, Flux Pavilion told us, “Throughout my career I’ve always tried to defy expectations, keeping it fresh and interesting, now on that journey I’ve ended up coming full circle. I feel like the thing people least expect from me is a classic flux pavilion experience and that’s exactly what this new album is. Wall to wall outrageous dubstep with some expansive musical moments for good measure.”
